What is it about a crinkly french fry that just tastes so much better?  I got a cute little crinkle cutter for Christmas, and my favorite use for it so far is to cut up potatoes for oven-baked fries!

I'll keep this post short and simple, because the recipe is, well, short and simple!

Baked Ranch Garlic Crinkle Fries

Makes: 4-5 servings

Ingredients
4 small-medium russet potatoes
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
sea salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil, and coat it with cooking spray.

Scrub your potatoes and cut them into crinkle slices (or normal french fries if you don't have a crinkle cutter).

TIP:  If you have some extra time, soak them in water for a while (10 minutes should do it).  This removes some of the starch and makes for more crispy oven fries!

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of salt.  Add potatoes and toss/mix until they are coated with the seasoning.

Arrange in a single layer on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.  Flip fries over and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until browned.
